Amy is scheduled to play at the Cowboy Palace Saloon in LA with Chad Watson and his band.  They will be video taping several videos for Amy's upcoming CD.  Chad Watson was the bass player on Amy's songs, he hosts a talent contest at the Cowboy Saloon on every Monday night in March.  Amy is excited to be one of the judges.  Please come back for dates and times.

Radio stations have been sent the song, "Santa's Littlest Elf has Autism" on CDX535 No. 20, so it's just a matter of asking them to play it.  If they didn't receive CDX535, they can download the song at www.AirpPlayDirect.com/AmyAmes.

STEPS on GETTING RADIO STATIONS to PLAY "SANTA'S LITTLEST ELF HAS AUTISM" BY AMY AMES.

First, listen to your local radio stations for the businesses that advertise.  Call those businesses and ask them to get the song on the radio or mention it in their commercial.  Explain that there are hundreds and thousands of families with Autistic children that would be grateful for the acknowledgement.

Second, contact radio stations and explain that they have received the song on CDX 535, Song Number 20 from Airplay Specialists or DJs can download the song from www.airplaydirect.com/amyames.

Next, if you want the radio station to play the song, you may have to actually go in person and bring a small gift - treats work very well.  Then follow up with phone calls, faxes, facebook, twitter, etc.  You will find a lot of people willing to form a calling rotation to contact the station and request the song, “Santa’s Littlest Elf Has Autism” by Amy Ames.

Also, take this opportunity to explain how your child with Autism relates to the holidays.  You may also add that the song story was made up from a child with Autism, Sammy Martinez, in hopes of creating awareness that he belongs to a Global Autism Family.  Sammy’s gift wish is to meet and gather with other kids like him during the holidays.     

Lastly, my son, Sam, is insisting I add this part.  (You know how persistant children with Autism can be)  He said, "Please tell everybody to be extra nice when contacting radio stations and don’t forget to send them a thank you card."

Thank you for checking out my website.  I would like to take the time to write more about this project, but I’m on a mission to help communities raise money for our children with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome before the holiday season arrives.

I’m only a fraction of the way done contacting groups, and I need to finish.  So, please take the bulls by horn (As we say in Texas), and run with it. 

Money generated from radio station airplays and downloads from CDBABY and iTunes in your area from the song, “Santa’s Littlest Elf (has Autism), will be sent to an Autism/Asperger’s account already set up for this song.  In about 9 months, the monies generated from your area, will be send back to you. 

The more requests the radio stations receive, the more they will play the song.  Plus, the more you get the word out about the download sales, the more people will download the song.  The results will add up to be more $ for your children. 

The hard part is at your end as to organizing the project.  Getting the word out, finding radio stations, and setting up a call request team of people to contact radio stations is what you’re going to need to do for this project to be successful.  I know you have a group of parents who can come up with a plan and implement it.

The song, “Santa’s Littlest Elf has Autism,” by Amy Ames and James Martinez will be going out to over 2,600 radio stations around the world.  Amy is on a mission to raise monies for local Autism/Asperger’s groups with CD sales and radio airplays of the song.

Kacey Jones from Radio Mavens will do a special Christmas promotion to include 6 weeks of promotion between Nov. 21st and Dec. 25th.  She will also send out two e-flyer/press releases to the entire database (of all genres of music) which numbers over 10,000.      

Then Airplay Specialists will call 300 of the 2,600 stations that received the song, “Santa’s Littlest Elf (has Autism) on CDX 535, Song Number 20, beginning Nov. 28th until Dec. 23rd.  There will be some radio stations in your area that will not get called, but will receive the song on CDX535. 

I’m asking if you can get out the message that some of the radio stations in your area will get the CD, but not be told about the song.  If radio stations get calls from their listeners explaining that the message of the song is to promote Autism, they may be inspired to play it.  Also, if listeners call in and request the song to be played, they will play it. 

Please relay the message to have friends, family and parents of Autistic children call the radio stations and request the song, “Santa’s Littlest Elf has Autism.”

Amy's son Sammy surprised everybody at Native Music Studios in Van Nuys, CA.  Amy and her producer were listening to a music track when Sammy started making up the lyrics on the spot.  Since the microphone was on, I got the recording of it to share with you. 

Amy's son, Sammy, has Aspergers.  He is on the cover of Amy's 2nd CD titled, "All God's Children Living with Autism."  Amy is currently recording her vocals on that CD and is writing songs for a Chrismas release.  

This afternoon I was driving up Bryan Rd.  Yes, I got pulled over.  The officer said I was going 62 in a 50 zone.

He asked for my license. 

My 14 year old son with Asperger's Syndrome said, "My mommy drinks beer.

The officer said, "What did your son say?"

Me, "My mommy can't hear."

Then my son said, "And my mommy writes songs about balls."

The officer said, "You write songs about beer.  What are the titles?"

Me, "I've Got You By the Balls."

My son, "And Holy Balls."

Officer, "Ma'am, I'm just giving you a warning.  But if you you want to stay out of trouble, you need to leave your balls at home."  

Ames just finished her new song, "Beer Belly Society."  Native Recording Studio in LA is already working on it.

It's been 10 years since the release of "All God's Children Living with Autism."  Amy is currently searching for song writers and singers to redo the CD.  As the President of Grand Channel Records, she is currently scouting for new talent. 

"There are a lot of children in the autism spectrum that have talent.  My goal is to display that talent in order to educate the public," says Ames. "Currently, I'm working with 2 special people on producing their music.  It's a time consuming and an expensive project.  In order to show more works, I'm turning the record company into a non-profit.  That way if folks would like to support a child's project, they would be able to with a tax deductable donation."

It's been 10 years since the release of Amy's 2nd CD.  Her son, Sam, is now 14 years old, and he's been writing classical music since he was 10 years old.  Sam's CD release should be out this summer.  In the meantime, Amy is remaking her songs about autism.  Look for a ten year rerelease CD soon.
